Troy Davis, an innocent man whose death sentence evoked widespread solidarity from hundreds of thousands both in the United States and around the world, was put to death at the 23rd hour on 21 September as family, friends, and hundreds of supporters held vigil outside. Greek migrants on hunger strike – support their demands!

On Jan. 25, about 200 immigrants living in Greece occupied a faculty building at Athens University Law School and declared a hunger strike until their demands are met. Another 100 undertook a similar action in the northern city of Thessaloniki. The migrants are mostly from the Maghreb countries of North Africa.
